Definition of a mentor:

A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person. In an organisational setting, a mentor influences the personal and professional growth of a mentee. For an establishing creative or entrepreneur, a mentor can provide much, much more.

So… are you struggling to make business decisions confidently because you think you don’t have enough knowledge and experience?

Do you feel confused about what to do and what not to do next?

Perhaps these are signs that you need a mentor.

Mentors provide bespoke guidance. They take a personal interest in you. They will give you advice in order to develop your skills, knowledge and experience.

Through mentoring, you can develop your business skills and you can achieve success earlier than you may have on your own. Many entrepreneurs have boosted their success with mentors.

However, you have to put in some work to find out the right fit for you. Some people are lucky as they can find a good mentor within their family or friends and business associates, but some don’t have that luxury so you will have to seek them out from outside your circle.

Even billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson said, “I wouldn’t have got anywhere in the airline industry without the mentorship of (British airline entrepreneur) Sir Freddie Laker.”

So think about it, and if you decide that having a mentor would be something that may suit you, then act upon it and go out and get yourself one.
